## Race weekend guide (checked 2026-10-15)

LUCIS HYROX Toulouse runs for five days in early February at MEETT, the exhibition center in Aussonne next to Toulouse-Blagnac airport and the Airbus factories. Tram T1 ends at its doors and runs through the pink-brick city center. The one thing to know: the airport tram has been shut for rebuilding since 2023, so plan your airport transfer before you land.

### Race weekend at a glance

- **Dates:** Wednesday 3 February to Sunday 7 February 2027
- **Venue:** MEETT Parc des Expositions
- **Address:** Concorde Avenue, 31840 Aussonne
- **Nearest public transport:** Tram T1 to its terminus, MEETT Beauzelle, which serves the venue directly. Bus 30 also stops at MEETT.
- **Divisions:** HYROX Open and Pro singles, Doubles (Men, Women and Mixed), Pro Doubles, Relays (Men, Women and Mixed) and Adaptive. Pro singles and Relays race on Friday 5 February, Pro Doubles on Saturday 6 February.
- **Also on site:** HYROX Youngstars Toulouse for ages 8 to 15 on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 February

### Getting to the venue

**From Toulouse-Blagnac airport:** MEETT is 7 minutes away by car, so a taxi or Uber (which runs 24/7 here) is easiest with a race bag. Tisséo bus 30 also links the airport and MEETT; check times in the Tisséo app.

**From the city center and Matabiau station:** Ride tram T1 to the end of the line at MEETT Beauzelle. Board at Palais de Justice (metro B) or Arènes (metro A).

**From the airport to the city center:** The airport shuttle leaves every 15 minutes from Gate C2, arrivals level, and reaches Matabiau station in 25 to 45 minutes. Tram T2 stopped in June 2023 for rebuilding as a new airport line, expected by the end of 2026 but with no confirmed opening date as of 15 October 2026.

### Where to stay

For an early wave, stay in Blagnac or by the airport, a few minutes from the venue. For restaurants and atmosphere, base yourself in central Toulouse near a T1 stop such as Palais de Justice or Arènes.

- **Holiday Inn Express Toulouse Airport (Blagnac):** One of the hotels MEETT lists as nearby.
- **Novotel Toulouse Aéroport (Airport):** A four-star hotel close to the airport, also on MEETT's list.
- **Courtyard by Marriott Toulouse Airport (Airport):** Another four-star hotel on MEETT's list.
- **ibis Toulouse Aéroport (Blagnac):** A value pick near MEETT and the Aeroscopia museum, with an airport shuttle from 6:00 to 23:00 daily.
- **Campanile Toulouse Blagnac Aéroport (Blagnac):** A budget three-star by the airport that MEETT lists as nearby.

### Gyms for pre-race training

- **H. Training Club (Jean-Jaurès):** Its own site calls it the only official HYROX Training Club in central Toulouse, with six 10 m sled lanes, SkiErgs, rowers and wall balls. Book a trial session online; drop-in prices are on its "Planning & tarifs" page.
- **Fitness Park Toulouse Bayard (Matabiau):** One of two Fitness Park clubs in Toulouse with a HYROX zone (the other is La Cartoucherie), with SkiErg, a sled track, rowers, wall balls and sandbags. No day pass is advertised, so call ahead.
- **RedZone Lab (Balma):** A HYROX-affiliated training box east of the city with SkiErgs, Concept2 rowers, sleds and a running track. Trial sessions can be booked online. It's closed on Sundays.
- **ON AIR Toulouse Blagnac (Blagnac):** A commercial gym near the venue with a functional training area and free weights. It offers a free trial session, but no HYROX kit is listed.

### Where locals run

- **Canal du Midi towpath (Saint-Sauveur):** A wide, flat path. Start at Port Saint-Sauveur, head toward Ramonville and share it with cyclists.
- **Garonne riverbanks (Prairie des Filtres):** The park by the Pont-Neuf is where walks along the Garonne begin. The quays are wide and flat, and the bridges let you loop any distance.
- **Jardin des Plantes (Busca):** A 7-hectare garden with paved paths, linked by a footbridge to the Grand Rond and close to the Palais de Justice T1 stop. Good for easy laps and strides.
- **Parc des Ramiers (Blagnac):** The closest option to the venue, with a mostly paved trail of about 3 km along the Garonne.

### Where to eat and fuel up

- **Le Colombier (Matabiau):** A restaurant since 1873 serving cassoulet with duck confit and Toulouse sausage. Save it for after you race. It's closed on Sundays and open only for dinner on Mondays.
- **Restaurant Emile (Saint-Georges):** A cassoulet institution on Place Saint-Georges since the 1940s, open Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner.
- **Marché Victor Hugo (Victor Hugo):** The covered market's first-floor restaurants cook with produce from the stalls below. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 6:00 to 14:00.
- **Le Bibent (Capitole):** A grand café on Place du Capitole since 1861, open every day from 8:30 on weekdays and 8:00 on weekends. Good for breakfast before a Sunday race.

### Race weekend events and parties

The confirmed extras are HYROX Youngstars Toulouse on 6 and 7 February and an on-site entertainment zone with event partners. As of 15 October 2026, no official after-party, expo or community run had been announced. Watch HYROX's official channels and local gyms' social media as race week nears.

### After the race

**Recovery:**

- **Cryosud (Toulouse):** A cryotherapy center focused on sports recovery, with a sports doctor, osteopath, physiotherapist and massage therapist on site. Call ahead to book.

**Things to do:**

- See the two Concordes and walk both decks of an A380 at **Aeroscopia** in Blagnac, the aviation museum facing the Airbus assembly lines.
- Book an **Airbus factory tour** with Manatour at least two days ahead; the 90-minute visit covers the A350 production line.
- Visit the **Basilica of Saint-Sernin**, the city's great red-brick Romanesque church.
- Spend an afternoon at the **Cité de l'espace**, Toulouse's space-themed science park.

### Local insights

- **Tap your bank card:** Contactless cards, phones and watches work as Tisséo tickets. One card covers up to five people, but each taps separately, and again at every connection. Your bank may place a temporary €10 hold.
- **The shuttle costs more:** The airport shuttle is €9 a trip, far more than a regular fare, though the ticket also covers onward metro, tram and bus trips. A shared Uber can be cheaper for a group.
- **No ATM at MEETT:** The venue has no cash machine, so get cash in town if you need it.
- **Plan your carb-load around closures:** Le Colombier closes on Sundays, Emile on Sundays and Mondays, and the Victor Hugo market on Mondays and every afternoon. Book Saturday dinner ahead.
- **February is cool, sometimes windy:** At the airport, February averages highs of about 11°C (52°F) and lows of about 3°C (37°F), with rain on around 8 days. The autan, a gusty southeasterly wind, can blow hard for days.
- **Service is included:** French restaurant prices include service by law, so tipping is optional. Round up small bills or leave up to about 5%.
- **Rugby and violets:** Stade Toulousain is a giant of French rugby. Violet sweets, a local specialty, make an easy sugar hit.

### Race-day tips for this venue

- **Check in on your race day.** Registration opens 90 minutes before your division's first wave, and you can only check in on the day you race. Bring physical ID; digital copies and photos aren't accepted.
- **Pay before you return to the car.** If you drive, pay at the machines inside; you can't pay at the exit barriers, where your plate is read automatically.
- **Cycle if you like.** MEETT has 400 covered bike racks near the entrance.
- **Buy spectator tickets in advance.** Friends need their own spectator tickets; early entry is through the Spectators Desk with a ticket and ID.
