Let local businesses fund your cause. They bid for logo spots on your 3D avatar, you race in their logos, and the money goes to a registered charity we've checked. We take half our usual commission.

How a charity auction works
- 1
Create your avatar
A 5-minute phone scan becomes a free 3D avatar with up to 15 sponsor spots. Add the HYROX race you're entered in.
- 2
Name your charity
In the Charity tab of your dashboard, enter its registered name and number, its country, and the share of your sponsorship money it gets.
- 3
We verify it
We look the charity up on its country's official register, usually within two working days. Nothing shows publicly until we have.
- 4
Businesses bid, the charity gets paid
Share your page. Businesses bid for logo spots until 10 days before race day, you race in the logos as temporary tattoos, and you pass the pledged share to the charity.
What sponsors see
A verified charity badge on your profile, and the same statement again before a sponsor pays. It answers “is this legit?” before anyone has to ask.
The registered charity
Its name exactly as it appears on the official register, with a link to its website if you add one.
A number they can check
The registration number and country, so any sponsor can look it up in a minute.
How much goes to the charity
The share of your sponsorship money you've pledged, from a tenth up to all of it.
When we checked
A "Verified" date. Change the details and the badge goes back to review.

Why it beats a donation page for local businesses
A donation page asks a business to give. A charity auction asks it to sponsor: it gets something visible back, and the charity still gets the money. Most athletes use both: the charity's own page for friends and family, the auction for businesses.
| Compare | RoxSkin charity auction | Plain donation page |
|---|---|---|
| What a business gets | Its logo on you on race day, on your 3D avatar and in your race photos | A name in a donor list |
| Reason to say yes | Local marketing with a good cause attached | Goodwill only |
| Proof the charity is real | Verified badge with registration number, shown before paying | The charity's own page |
| Best for | Local businesses and employers | Friends and family, who can add Gift Aid in the UK |
| Cost | Half our usual commission, only when a spot sells | The platform's own fees, if any |
What sponsors pay
The same prices as every auction. Standard spots open at $50 and double each time another business takes one over. The premium glutes spot opens at $250 and rises $150 per takeover. A business that's outbid isn't charged: the hold on its card is released.

Questions about charity auctions
What is a RoxSkin charity auction?+
It's a normal RoxSkin sponsorship auction for your HYROX race, run for a registered charity. Businesses bid for up to 15 logo spots on your 3D avatar, you wear the winning logos as temporary tattoos on race day, and you pass the share you pledged to the charity. Your profile and every sponsor checkout show which charity it is.
How much does a charity auction cost?+
It's free to create your avatar and list a race. We only take a commission when a spot sells, and for a verified charity auction we take half our usual commission.
How do you verify the charity?+
You give us the charity's registered name and number. We look it up on the official register for its country, such as the UK Charity Commission, the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search or Australia's ACNC, before any badge appears. It usually takes up to two working days.
What do sponsors see?+
A charity auction badge on your profile and at checkout, showing the charity's registered name, registration number and country, the share of your sponsorship money it gets, and the date we verified it. Nothing unverified is ever shown to sponsors.
How much do sponsor spots cost?+
Standard spots open at $50 and double each time another business takes one over. The premium glutes spot opens at $250 and rises $150 per takeover. A business that's outbid isn't charged: the hold on its card is released.
Who sends the money to the charity?+
You do. After the race we pay out your share by bank transfer, and you donate the pledged amount to the charity and keep the receipt, since sponsors may ask for it. Profiles that misuse the charity badge are removed and sponsors refunded.
Can I use a charity auction with an official HYROX charity place?+
Yes. Many athletes keep the charity's own fundraising page for personal donations and use the auction for businesses. Ask the charity how it would like sponsorship money recorded so it counts toward your target.
Is a sponsor's payment a donation?+
No. A business that gets a logo spot gets advertising in return, so its payment is a sponsorship, not a charitable gift. Don't promise it a donation receipt or add Gift Aid to it, and let it check the tax treatment with its accountant.
