Centr HYROX Anaheim fills the West Coast's largest convention center, across Katella Avenue from the Disneyland Resort, in early December: mild days, cool mornings and the resort in full holiday mode. The one thing to know is that the ART resort shuttles shut down on 31 March 2026, so ignore older guides that tell you to ride them.

ART is gone
Anaheim Resort Transportation ended all service on 31 March 2026. Hilton Anaheim, Anaheim Marriott, Clarion and Sheraton Park guests now have a paid campus shuttle to Disneyland, reported at $6 a day. It doesn't serve ARTIC.
Tap your card on OC Bus
OCTA's single fare is $2. Tap a contactless card and you stop paying after $5 in a day, or after $4.50 on a Wave card or Wave app account. You also get free two-hour transfers. Cash fares get neither, and buses no longer sell day passes on board.
Weekend trains are sparse
Metrolink's Orange County Line runs only two trains each way at ARTIC on Saturdays and Sundays.
December is mild but cool at night
Average highs are about 21°C (71°F) and lows about 9°C (48°F). It's one of Anaheim's wetter months at about 51 mm of rain, so pack a warm layer and a shell.
Holiday crowds are real
With Disney's holiday season on and the parks right across the street, hotels and restaurants in the resort area are busy. Book dinner tables early.
Little Arabia is a local favorite
Brookhurst Street in western Anaheim is Orange County's Arab American hub, full of bakeries and restaurants.
Getting to Anaheim Convention Center
From John Wayne Airport (SNA)
About 24 km (15 miles) from the resort. Taxis, Lyft and the Karmel Connect shuttle pick up at the Ground Transportation Center near baggage claim; ask taxis for a flat rate. On a budget, take OCTA Route 76 west to Harbor Boulevard, then Route 43 north.
From Los Angeles International (LAX)
About 64 km (40 miles) away, so book a shuttle, Karmel Connect or a rideshare. The cheap transit route (rail east to Norwalk, then Express Line 460) takes several transfers.
From Long Beach Airport (LGB) and by train
Long Beach is about 21 km (13 miles) away, and taxis often quote a flat rate. If you arrive on Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner or Metrolink at ARTIC, take OCTA Route 50 west along Katella Avenue to the convention center.

Parties, expos and side events
As of 15 October 2026, no official after-party or community run had been announced. HYROX Youngstars runs in the same hall on 5 and 6 December. Disneyland's holiday season runs 13 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, and the Anaheim Ducks host Seattle on Friday 4 December (7 p.m.) and Winnipeg on Sunday 6 December (5 p.m.) at Honda Center. Walk if you're staying on Convention Way
The Hilton and Marriott are next to the halls, so you avoid event parking entirely.

Bring ID to check in
Nobody can check in for you, and registration opens 90 minutes before your division's first start wave.

Individual start times are published about three days before the race and can't be changed.

Use one spectator ticket for both
Your spectator ticket also covers the Youngstars races on 5 and 6 December in the same venue.
